Q: How does Next Yellow work for consumers?
A: Next Yellow is essentially a referral service. Using a simple form, you describe what you want. Next Yellow matches your requests to businesses that can help you. Then businesses that actually want your business contact you. No more flipping through phone books wondering who can provide what you need. The business does the walking (and so do we).

Q: Does it cost anything?
A: No. Next Yellow is a free service for consumers. (We make our money by charging businesses for their listings.)

Q: How do businesses contact me?
A. That's up to you. You can specify e-mail and/or phone.

Q: Do I need to set up an account with Next Yellow?
A: Yes, but it will take less than a minute to set up an account. All we need is your name, e-mail address and a password of your choosing. Then businesses that match your request will know how to reach you, and you can log in to check on the status of your requests.

Q: What if I need something very unusual?
A: We can't promise that we'll find a local business to sell you pickled dandelion leaves, but we'll try on your behalf. Meanwhile, you can go relax by the pool.

Q: If I ask for a real estate agent, am I going to get spammed and called by all sorts of real estate agents?
A: Absolutely not. You have our privacy guarantee. Your contact info will go only to the businesses that match your request, and you can specify how many matches you want.


For Businesses

Q: How does Next Yellow work for businesses?
A: Next Yellow will send you qualified leads. Based on information provided by the potential customer, you can decide whether or not to pursue the lead. We give you online tools to let you track your leads. What's more, you'll know exactly where the lead came from, so it's easy to figure out the return on your listing.

Q: What does it cost?
A: Our introductory pricing is a flat $2 per category per ZIP code per month. It doesn't depend on how many leads we send you, and the categories are fairly broad. You can list in one ZIP code or nationwide. Contact us about discounts for wide coverage.

Q: How do I pay?
A: By automatic charge to your credit card each month.

Q: How do I get leads?
A: When Next Yellow matches a consumer request to your business, we send you an e-mail message describing what the consumer wants and providing the consumer's contact information.

Q: Is it easy to cancel if it doesn't work out for me?
A. Yes. You can delete your listings online, though to completely close your account, you must call us. Also, because of the number of listings we keep, we regret that we cannot refund partial months, so your listings have to ride out the billing cycle. Of course, you still can get leads in that time.
